Chillout Ireland.
Monday the 24th of September marked the beginning of Wellbeing week in school. We began with a talk from Mary from Chillout Ireland. She told us all about the importance of looking after your mental health. She also told us about the part of the brain called the amygdala which has the ability to tell you whether to run or fight in a scary situation. We also learned about the different ways in which we can look after our mental health such as mindfulness and meditation. Lastly Mary told us about her ways of preventing stress and nerves leading up to an important event. I learnt a lot from Mary because she was able to personalise her stories.
